Chicago Fire Football Club officially broke ground on its new soccer stadium in The 78, an emerging riverfront neighborhood in Chicago’s South Loop. The privately funded, $750 million stadium project represents a transformative investment in the city and is expected to open ahead of the 2028 MLS season. City leaders, project partners, and community stakeholders joined Club Owner and Chairman Joe Mansueto and President of Business Operations Dave Baldwin at the ceremonial groundbreaking. Serving as the permanent home for Chicago Fire FC and hosting other events year-round, the open-air stadium will anchor additional development in the area and offer a world-class experience to fans, players and community members. DMA assisted with site selection, due diligence, feasibility and entitlements support for the project and congratulates Chicago Fire FC on this new milestone.
