Crain’s Chicago Business, May 13, 2026
McDonald’s and Chicago Fire Football Club announced a naming rights partnership that gives the name McDonald’s Park to the team’s new MLS soccer stadium, emerging in Chicago’s riverfront neighborhood The 78. The deal extends beyond name and brand recognition to collaboration on fan and culinary experiences and community-focused initiatives, including the expansion of free soccer programming across Chicago Public Schools. Opening in 2028, McDonald’s Park will host concerts, community events and celebrations year-round in addition to Chicago Fire FC games. DMA assisted with site selection, due diligence, feasibility and entitlements support for the stadium project and congratulates both McDonald’s and Chicago Fire FC on this historic partnership.
