A multi-year journey to bring Major League Soccer to Miami ended with Inter Miami CF’s inaugural game at Nu Stadium on April 4. The newly completed stadium seats 26,700 fans and serves as the centerpiece of Miami Freedom Park, a $1 billion development that will grow to include additional retail, entertainment, hotel and commercial components along with a public plaza and park. DMA congratulates Inter Miami owners David Beckham, Jorge Mas and Jose Mas, who made the new stadium a reality and continue to advance Miami Freedom Park. Inter Miami played in Fort Lauderdale for the past six years prior to the opening of its new permanent home.
