An incoming office tenant in Chicago’s iconic Willis Tower sought to shape its two levels of space to support varied ways of working and connecting. DMA managed the year-long transformation before tenant move-in, leading team meetings, reviewing design and payment processes and overseeing FF&E. The project ultimately created approximately 30,000 square feet of new amenities.
A dramatic central staircase now links the two floors and offers quick access to modern conference areas, meeting spaces, telephone rooms, a café, a coffee bar and a library. The design emphasizes open sightlines and access to daylight. Selective use of interior glass, distinctive furniture groupings and flexible design features enable occupants to choose work settings and privacy levels best suited to each task.
