DMA’s client sought to create a new regional office within its Plymouth Square shopping center, ten miles from downtown Philadelphia. Beyond the typical complexities of managing budget, schedule and team member activities, the project involved navigating the impact of Covid-19 shutdowns on permitting, design and construction. The 45,000-square-foot space, situated below existing tenant REI, included an outdoor patio and required reconfiguring an existing loading dock. The project also aimed to achieve a LEED Silver designation.
DMA worked closely with the general contractor and project team to ensure construction could start when government restrictions were lifted. Early and ongoing communication with the contractor kept operations within budget. DMA also coordinated with the consultant team and oversaw IT, electrical, and FF&E planning and installation. The new Brixmor office increases the company’s presence in a prime retail district, at the intersection of a major suburban highway system.
