New York City’s financial district is gaining a variety of distinctive dining and shopping options with the renovation of Brookfield Place, a retail and office complex on the Hudson River. Hudson Eats, among the first new elements to open, offers fast-casual food from more than a dozen top New York eateries. Coming within the next year are an Equinox Fitness Club, a French marketplace, and upscale retail tenants including Hermes, Ferragamo, and Diane von Furstenberg. DMA is leading the 200,000-square-foot retail tenant delivery effort for Brookfield Office Properties. The project has already had a positive impact on office leasing at Brookfield Place and is contributing to a broader reshaping of lower Manhattan’s retail landscape.
