With a successful store in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, active sports outfitter Patagonia selected 48 East Walton Street as its second Chicago retail address. The building sits in the heart of the Gold Coast/Magnificent Mile area, between Rush Street and Michigan Avenue. Building ownership brought on DMA to manage smooth delivery of the two-story, 6,300-square-foot retail space.

DMA worked with tenant representatives, contractors and project designers to support the delivery and opening timeline. Interior transformation of the space for Patagonia included removing old floors and fixtures, installing new ductwork and relocating the stairway. The building’s exterior design features massive walls of windows and a steel alloy material that develops a natural patina to prevent corrosion.
