A luxury goods business known for its fine, Italian-made cashmere chose an existing, two-story building on Rush Street, beside Chicago’s Gold Coast, for its first Midwestern boutique. DMA oversaw the adaptive re-use of the structure to meet Brunello Cucinelli’s vision, collaborating with the tenant, other project team members based in New York and Chicago, and building ownership, long-time client JMB Realty.
DMA established a sound relationship with the tenant and closely managed work with an exceptional attention to detail, including a renovation of the building’s façade. Our efforts ensured compliance with local building ordinances and contributed to a distinctive new retail presence on Rush Street.
