DMA worked on behalf of two clients in four Midwest locations to deliver retail space for fashion tenant H&M. In each case, DMA successfully coordinated work to meet tight timeframes and minimize disruption to existing shopping center operations. At the Shoppes of Grand Prairie, in Peoria, Illinois, DMA oversaw the conversion of an existing restaurant space and two adjacent shops, as well as the relocation of two tenants and building maintenance, to deliver 21,000 square feet of space. Careful coordination of lease elements, proactive design negotiations and aggressive contractor recruiting and oversight made it possible for the project to meet an ambitious opening date, in time for the holiday shopping season. This work for Miller Capital also finished under budget and led to positive leasing developments and holiday sales traffic.

DMA oversaw the delivery of retail shells to H&M at shopping malls owned by Starwood Retail Partners in Merrillville, Indiana, Joliet, Illinois and Chicago Ridge, Illinois. Delivering the 24,745-square-foot shell at Chicago Ridge Mall required innovative solutions and extensive collaboration and planning across team members. To accommodate a second floor for H&M, contractors raised an 11,000-square-foot roof 20 feet higher in three days. Work also involved demolishing seven tenant spaces near the mall’s center court, with adjacent tenants open throughout renovation.
