While with another firm (pre-DMA), Charles Porter served on the Development Team for this Class A office tower which to this day is the tallest building in both Hartford and the state of Connecticut. The $150 million, 38-story development project finished on schedule and within budget. When opened, the project contained the corporate offices of United Technologies Corporation (UTC), A major division of the Aetna Insurance Company and the Day Berry & Howard Law firm.

A Steel Frame perimeter tube structure rest on New England bedrock including 3 levels of underground parking blasted from that underling stone. The Mechanical system was connected into Hartford’s Central District Plant system but designed for future separation. The imported Granite façade was fabricated and installed on precast panels speeding its installation. Under floor electrical duct facilitate changes in floor mounted outlets.
