A long-time DMA client sought to rehabilitate a newly purchased, older building in a prime location on Chicago’s Walton and Rush Street corridor. In the first phase of work, DMA oversaw transformation of the building shell, involving demolition of four floors of existing construction and the installation of a new structural steel frame, second floor, and roof—all while maintaining adjacent neighbor walls. A helicopter lifted new rooftop HVAC units into place.
DMA assisted with landlord improvements and tenant improvements in two subsequent phases of construction, managed around the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic. Work led to the opening of a new Stadium Goods retail store, selling rare and high-end sneakers and streetwear. The location features two levels totaling 6,000 square feet.
