Located along the banks of the Mohawk River and built on the redeveloped ALCO brownfield site, The Landing Hotel is directly connected to the Rivers Casino and its adjacent Event Center in Schenectady, New York. DMA worked with the owner Erie Way Properties LLC and the operator Rush Street Gaming from Chicago to create a privately branded, 4- star hotel connected to the recently opened Rivers Mohawk Casino, built in 13 months. The 93,000-square-foot, six-story building hotel in addition to the adjacent Casino and event center are designed for LEED certification which is currently pending. The hotel features 165 guest rooms and, has a state-of-the-art workout room, and a meeting room, a bar and lounge, and overlooking the scenic Mohawk Rriver views. The Hotel is conveniently located next to The Rivers event center. The 93,000 square foot six-story Hotel Building was built in 13 months.
The Landing is this ownership group’s first Hotel property for this client and early on, DMA assisted in evaluating possible brand affiliations and standards for the hotel, and their standards including the Hilton Garden Inn and Hyatt Place Brands. Ultimately, given the strong local market conditions, Ownership created The Landing Hotel brand and has engaged an experienced third party operator to run the hotel. The $20 million hotel is the final element of the $330 million Rivers Casino & Resort at Mohawk Harbor. In addition to the Rivers Casino and Event Center, The Landing Hotel was designed with a commitment to sustainability and is in the process of LEED certification.The hotel is designed to cater to the underserved Greater Schenectady market and support the Rivers Mohawk Casino and Event Center offerings. This completes the last element of the resort that opened July 2017.
