Sugarhouse Expansion

Share on twitter Share on LinkedIn Share via email

A major expansion of SugarHouse Casino more than doubled its gaming, dining and entertainment space, from 108,000 to 260,000 square feet, and added a new seven-story parking garage. Completed in less than two years, the $164 million expansion created a new 28-table poker room, additional table games and slots, an Event Center that seats up to 800 guests, Hugo’s Frog Bar & Chop House, and the SugarHouse Marketplace, featuring four new dining options.

DMA served as a senior advisor to Rush Street Gaming on design and construction issues throughout this major expansion, following our work on the original development of SugarHouse. Our collaborative relationship with the architecture and design teams includes four earlier casino projects for this client. With the expansion, SugarHouse added 500 full-time jobs, bringing total employment to approximately 1,700 team members. The casino is consistently voted a “best place to work” and “top workplace” in Philadelphia.
