Our client undertook a joint venture project with a local partner in São Paulo . The 300,000-square-foot, four-level retail mall was partially developed when Walton Street Capital retained DMA to provide development consulting services. Problems with structural engineering and construction quality had delayed the project schedule and increased costs.
DMA served as a second set of eyes and ears for the client to review design and construction plans, schedule, budget, and address quality issues. Local investors ultimately bought out Walton Street Capital; the project opened in October 2013.
