For more than 25 years, Martha Spatz has worked with building owners and tenants to launch and sustain successful commercial properties. For regional centers, her design sensitivity and proactive approach to communication has consistently achieved some of the highest percentages in the country of tenant occupancy at grand opening.
Prior to founding DMA, Martha headed the tenant coordination department at Urban Retail Properties, overseeing an average of 700 tenant deals at existing client properties per year for more than a decade. She has also worked as an architect in several Chicago-area firms.
Martha has played a lead tenant coordination role, working as an owner and on behalf of client owners, for projects including:

Martha is a licensed architect and holds a master's degree in architecture and a bachelor's degree in architectural studies from the University of Illinois-Champaign. She is an active leader within the shopping center industry through the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC): chairing the CenterBuild Conference in 2003, serving on the CenterBuild Program Committee for 10 years, and currently serving on the CenterBuild Advisory Council and as a faculty member at ICSC University at the Wharton School.
When she's not achieving the perfect blend of tenants for her clients, Martha enjoys cooking up treats for friends and relatives.
