“Swanky” Opening at Brookfield Place

Brookfield Place debuted a full collection of fashion stores, restaurants and a new food marketplace as planned this spring. The opening marked a significant milestone in an ambitious, $300 million renovation project envisioned and launched by Brookfield Office Properties more than four years ago. Brookfield Place is connected to the Fulton Street transportation hub and part of the World Trade Center complex, a major tourist destination and central to the broader revitalization of lower Manhattan since 9/11. DMA team members Karen Urosevich, Esther Yi-Pin Chi, and Jason Westrope led the retail tenant delivery effort on behalf of ownership. Design elements maximize natural light and create a modern atmosphere for local shoppers and visitors. A three-story Saks Fifth Avenue planned for 2016 will bring the total retail space to 300,000 square feet.
