Habitat for Humanity®

Started in 1990, the Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity® has built homes for 45 homes in the western suburbs of Chicago. In March 2011, the organization opened a 28,000-square-foot resale store in Aurora with a uniquely green purpose. ReStore fosters the reuse of donated building materials, appliances and furniture, saves "green" for contractors and do-it-yourselfers, and funds affordable housing projects for the not-for-profit and its partner families. One recent project, Habitat Estates, constructed eight modest, three-bedroom homes for just $60,000 in material costs in the Village of Montgomery, 40 miles southwest of downtown Chicago.

Development Management Associates is proud of the longstanding contribution of Tim Feldballe, CFO and Development Accounting Manager for DMA, to the Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity. Tim has served as an executive board member and treasurer of this organization for more than six years, is a founding member of ReStore, and has personally participated in Habitat construction. Partner families, many volunteer laborers, and other members of the DMA staff (see pictures) contributed time and sweat equity to Habitat Estates.
